Are paid investor lists and fundraising intro services worth the investment for early-stage startups?

I'm equally cynical. By not choosing to subscribe to these service, you’re not missing much.
A list isn’t fundraising. Results comes from trust, context, and some credible connection. Not merely somebody giving you an address to send things to.
Some of these services can help with research, positioning, and process discipline - but I think you're right that you can do a lot of that yourself now with AI. And if they promise guaranteed access I would be skeptical.
i do know two entrepreneurs who did use an intro service - and it did get them on a call / in the door with people who were truly invesstors. But ultimately, all they were doing were opening a door. You still have to walk through it. In both of these cases, they did not have the connections to the types of investors they were looking for - and they did hae genuinely compeling stories. But it was by no means any type of guarantee.
