How can a founder navigate fundraising when cold emails are failing to get responses from investors?

Hi,
Cold emailing is a soul-crushing grind. I know because I’ve done it, and it wears you down fast. The thing is, you’re getting ignored because you're asking strangers for money.
Here is a counterintuitive trick I’ve used my entire career: if you want money, ask for advice.
Stop blasting pitch decks. Instead, find investors who know your space and ask for fifteen minutes to show them what you’re building. No pressure, no ask. Just get their feedback.
Then, ask them the magic question: "When I am ready to raise, what are the specific milestones you’d need to see?"
Now you have a roadmap. Go build those exact things. When you hit those milestones, go back to them and show them the results. VCs don't invest in promises; they invest in execution. Show them you can execute, and they’ll want in.
(I'm answering this without a clear idea of where you are in the process: is the product built? Do you have revenue? Do you have traction? Are you just in the idea stage?)
