Why do experienced founders choose mentorship and advisory roles over starting another company?

Hi. They all scratch the exact same itch. After leaving Netflix, I knew I didn't have it in me to immediately start another company. But I also knew I couldn't walk away entirely.

I realized I could get my fix by helping other founders. Whether it's Neverland or this platform, the experience is remarkably similar.

I still get to wade into a crisis and help solve complex problems with smart people. The only difference is that now, I get to go home at five o'clock while they stay up all night making it happen. Does't get much better than that!
