What makes a pre-seed marketplace or platform venture compelling to angel investors?

Hi,
Your background is impressive and those cap table names are great, but they aren't what makes me write a check. At pre-seed, I don't care about a beautiful pitch. I care about execution. You talk about "accelerating the flywheel" but want I really want to see evidence of the actual flywheel that my money will accelerate.
You said the moat is the indexed network, and that this data doesn't exist yet. That’s the catch. If the data doesn't exist, building it is going to be a brutal, manual grind.
What makes this irresistible to an angel is showing exactly how you'll build that index without burning through a million dollars of our money doing it. I want to see the scrappy, clever hack you're using to get busy production pros to hand over their rates and availability.
Then, I want to see some evidence that producers cannot live without it.
And third, I would want to see that you have some level of focus. Not "every production professional.” What is your wedge? What's the first can't miss category that gets you permission to expand into others.
The killer pre-seed line for me would be: “By doing [specific hack] we've been able to index every production professoinal in [specific niche}. We’re already the default staffing layer for [target niche], and every transaction makes us harder to copy.”
Show me that you can build the database and you have a customer dying to use it, not just that you want to. Execution beats perfection every time.
Good luck!

P.S. I didn't have time to look at the loom. if there is something in there that would have made all the previons stuff moot, feel free to describe it to me.
