How can a profitable consumer product drive retail sales velocity without a major marketing budget?

Hi,
Getting into CVS and Walgreens is a massive win. But as I'm sure you're realizing, getting onto the shelf is only half the battle since distribution is not demand. Retailers gave you access, not awareness. And you're going to have to hack the awareness part yourself.
First, stop chasing venture capitalists. If I remember correctly, you are profitable and cash-flow positive. That is an unbelievable superpower. VCs want rocket ships, and trying to force your business into their box will just lead to frustration and unneccesary dilution.
So ... get out there and figure out a repeatable, cheap demand engine.
A few places I’d start:
- Leverage your Amazon buyers. Let them know “also available at CVS/Walgreens” via inserts, emails, etc. - Pick five or ten specific stores. Run hyper-local tests right around them. Try geo-targeted social ads, local community stuff, or local micro-influencers. - Focus sampling where ear pain problems concentrate: clinics, specialists, support groups, swim events, waiting rooms. - Make the shelf work harder: packaging must explain the problem and solution in 3 seconds.
You have limited money and time, so focus focus focus. Figure out how to win locally, then scale. You don't need a massive marketing budget. You need scrappy experiments. Basically your assignment is to find the cheap, repeatable hack that drives sales velocity in your handful of target stores. Once you prove the playbook, you can roll it out.
Go get em!
