How can advisory or mentorship platforms deliver genuine value and actionable outcomes rather than just selling access?

Hi,
Access is overrated.
People think they want access to someone “high-level,” but what they really need is movement. A smaller insight that makes them do the right next thing is worth more than an hour of inspirational rambling.
So I’d design around the job to be done, not the medium.
Voice notes are great for nuance and speed. Text is great for clarity and reference. Live calls are great when the real problem is hidden behind the stated problem. But the format matters far less than the mechanism.
The mechanism should be:
What are you trying to do?
What have you already tried?
What is the specific constraint?
What will you do in the next 7 days?
How will we know it worked?
That last part is where transformation lives. Not in the advice. In the experiment.
I’ve always believed ideas are cheap. Execution is where the learning happens. So with Wisen, we hope to do more than sell “ask Marc a question.” That’s candy. If we do this right, it should help people frame the right question, get a blunt answer, commit to an action, and report back with evidence.
Access can be valuable. But access without structure is just entertainment.
